Fresh on the flying shuttle loom today: a Galway wool warp woven with a Kilcarra Tweed weft.

The deep, inky purple weft is beautifully accented with subtle flecks of blue and green, adding depth and character to the fabric.

THANK YOU to Michelle and Tara for trying on the very first bog coat from .and.lam at this past weekend.

I got really good feedback and the biggest change I need to make is to add pockets! The next bog jacket I make will have lining, pockets and I will make the drawstring casing longer so that it starts from the shoulder.

The jacket is made with Galway wool, handwoven in a herringbone pattern on a 4 shaft flying shuttle loom.
