Cruinniu sníomhadóirí today at Beechwood Blue Texels.
It was a mighty day of spinning, knitting, crochet, felting and darning. Seamus Kirwan did a lovely weaving demonstration on the Lojan 4 shaft loom.
I played some low D tin whistle while Ann accompanied me with her beautiful singing.

Ann and John are the most wonderful hosts! If you ever get the chance to visit them, meet the sheep and have a chat about wool, I highly recommend it.

We had a really lovely Introduction to Wool Spinning Workshop at Creggs Heritage Centre yesterday.

Congratulations to Katy and Keith Knits on your first ever handspun yarn!

Thank you to Anna for joining us for the day. I can't wait to see the tweed yarn you were spinning!

I've been blending a little Welsh Mountain wool with a tiny bit of dyed Galway wool to see how it might work out.

I have a full weekend of spinning ahead of me, so I should have some results by Monday.

Tomorrow is my last wool spinning workshop of the year at Creggs Heritage Centre and on Sunday, I will be spinning at the Cruinniu sníomhadóirí.

I'm back to weaving on the flying shuttle loom today. The summer has been so busy with teaching classes and doing demonstrations that I've barely had a minute to weave!

Ellie is wearing my favourite piece on the catwalk at Mountbellew Agricultural Show.

This is a blanket jacket made with handspun merino wool. Handwoven on a rigid heddle loom and sewn on a 105 year old Singer sewing machine!
The scarf is also made with handspun merino wool.
