Using a mixture of Glyn Johns miking technique along with close mics and room mics when recording drums, you might ask yourself why so many mics? Indeed less can be more. But, when exploring the sound of a room, kit and a project.. it’s a good idea to capture it all and give yourself many options when it comes to mixing.
