๐Ÿ‘‰ Bring the dog, bring the family and have a nosey around Barket Sunday Market at Writer's Square in the heart of Belfast's Cathedral Quarter.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Rathmullan Maker's Market is a pop up market located at the beach car park in Rathmullan, Donegal and offers art, craft, music and food from creative members of the community in Rathmullan and surrounding areas.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The Spanish Arch in Galway transforms into a bustling hub of creativity and community with the Tiny Traders Village Market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout August.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Discover a gorgeous array of handcrafted products at Electric Galway with the monthly Umbrella Le Cheile craft market.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Mountain View Market in Kilkenny acts as a beacon for sustainable food production, beautiful artisanal products, short supply chains and social connection, drawing visitors from all over Ireland.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The Westport Makers Market is situated in the heart of Westport, Mayo every Saturday of the summer.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The Craft Month Collective at Buddy's Market in Dublin are a collective of Irish Made Local Makers each Saturday in Aug. 9-2pm.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Fingal Woodturners will have a stall at St. Catherineโ€™s Park /Lucan Demesne Public Market in Dublin with displays of their turned pieces.

Tune in tonight at 7pm!

This evening's episode of Nationwide on RTร‰ One will feature a special segment on August Craft Month!

Tom Dunphy and Kevin Honan from Peannairรญ (The Association of Irish Calligraphers) and Kieran Reynolds from Fingal Woodturners will talk about their crafts and the benefit to local makers of being part of this month-long celebration of craft.

Suzy O'Keefe, Head of Digital & Communications at Design and Crafts Council Ireland will discuss the importance of promoting our craft heritage and the role of August Craft Month in providing opportunities for the public to buy, see, make and learn about craft.

The show airs at 7pm or you can catch it on RTร‰ Player.

DCCI senior staff really enjoyed being out and about at August Craft Month events this weekend.

Thanks to the Members of the South Midlands Branch of the Irish Patchwork Society for welcoming Suzy O'Keefe, Head of Digital & Communications to their Sixth Annual Exhibition at St Mary's Cathedral, Kilkenny.

Dr Isha Tyagi, Head of Craft & Education, Design & Crafts Council Ireland met with makers Karen Hamilton, Sarah Cathers and Eddie Doherty this weekend, whose works form part of this year's August Craft Month exhibition titled "Rhythm" at the in Belfast.

The exhibition features contemporary craft works that highlight the connections between making and music, traditional or contemporary and runs until 28th August.
