The County Kildare Orchestra was founded in February 1998 and is committed to developing and promoting a love of classical music whilst aspiring to an excellence in performance. The Orchestra's repertoire spans the great musical eras from the Baroque (Bach and Handel), the Classical (Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven) to t

he Romantics (Schumann, Bruch and Elgar). From symphonies and concertos, we are passionate about combining our individual playing for the higher goal, and ensuring that everyone leaves our performances with a smile on their face! Standard Grade 5/6 upwards. Email countykildareorchestra[at]gmail.com or send us a message here on FB/Instagram. All welcome! Minimum age for entry is 18. County Kildare Orchestra is supported by Kildare County Council and funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media's Local Live Performance Programming Scheme.

What a way to round off our concert season! Two weeks on, we're still smiling after two fantastic A Night at the Movies concerts, culminating in a sold-out performance in Athy with Athy Gospel Choir in association with Athy Lions Club, with standing ovations and an unforgettable atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season- we can't wait to welcome you back for another exciting season of music!

The credits may have rolled on Maynooth, but the story isn't over yet... Here are a few moments capturing last night's performance of A Night at the Movies: Orchestral Edition. What an incredible evening! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and filled the hall with such wonderful energy and support. We had an amazing time performing and hope you enjoyed the music as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life. And the best part? We get to do it all again today in Athy!

We are delighted to be joined by the Athy Gospel Choir, in association with Athy Lions Club, for what promises to be another fantastic afternoon of music, memories, and movie favourites in the Dreamland Ballroom, Athy at 5pm.
