Join Lily Ramirez-Foran and her award-winning culinary team from Picado Mexican for a Mexican pop-up at the Vanilla Pod Restaurant for an evening of traditional Mexican flavours.

Made using the finest Boyne Valley ingredients, diners will get to savour the tantalising flavours of Mexico in a family style menu designed just for Samhain Festival. The menu will include a welcome drink and snack, some tacos and dessert.

Rediscover the age-old art of fermentation with chef Martin Ruffley in Forgotten Skills (Fermentation).

Dr. Martin Ruffley is a multiple award-winning Chef who has travelled the world in his pursuit of culinary excellence. As well as staging at 3 Michelin-star Maaemo Restaurant in Oslo, 2-star Hibiscus Restaurant in London, UK, & the 1-star Ora Restaurant in Helsinki, Martin has inspired many other people to learn how to cook.

Through this cookery demonstration, Martin will explore how simple ingredients, a little patience and traditional techniques can create exciting flavours, preserve seasonal produce and make more of what we have in our kitchens.

Join us at the Cooks n Books Stage for a fresh look at a skills that have been passed down through the generations. You will gain plenty of inspiration to bring back to your own kitchen and try out for yourself!

Pull up a chair and settle in for a spectacular evening of songs, poems and stories at Kiernanโ€™s Pub, Market Street, Kells.

Hosted by Michael Brunnock, the official launch of ๐Š๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐’๐จ๐ง๐  ๐’๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž brings a curated line-up of local voices together with a special unplugged performance from One Flew Over.

Itโ€™s a space for emerging and established artists to share original work, and for the rest of us to give them our full attention.

The room will be kept quiet during performances, with plenty of time for a chat afterwards. Come in, listen and be part of it.

Tara is a chef, cookery teacher, author and TV presenter with over 16 yearsโ€™ experience inspiring home cooks and food lovers across Ireland. Raised in a family immersed in the food industry, she developed her passion for cooking early on before training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.

She is the owner and chef tutor at East Coast Cookery School in Termonfeckin, Co. Louth, and author of Good Food No Stress, helping busy people create delicious meals with ease and confidence.

Led by talented makers and craftspeople, each experience offers the opportunity to learn new skills, connect with traditional practices, and discover the stories and inspiration behind the things we make.

Slow down, look closely and create your own little street scene from found and discarded materials. In this relaxed and creative workshop, youโ€™ll use pieces of weathered and reclaimed wood, bark and other found materials to create a miniature street scene.
