I grew up by the sea in Dublin and was always reminded to look up and soak it all in. I was encouraged to explore and experience life and my creativity was no exception. My parents had many talents which included music, singing, art and collecting art. I grew up surrounded by music, beautiful sculpture and magnificent paintings. As a child I would swim in the sea, play my piano and the art box was
always close by. Now, living in Wicklow, I am so grateful to be in a position to enjoy my daily dose of the sea air, play my piano and my art boxes have multiplied. As an adult I continue to be encouraged, by my husband, to explore and experience life and in particular my art. What started as therapeutic doodling has flourished into my being afforded the opportunity to share my creations with many around the world. I am excited to be selling prints in a few number around Wicklow and have commission pieces that now hang in living rooms as far away as Australia, America and China. I use ink to create silhouettes of swirls incorporating words, names, dates and quotes. I love meeting and chatting with people about the person or people I am creating for and using that energy to create personal pieces. Can you see any words in the pieces photographed? I have recently started to paint and am thoroughly enjoying exploring a wide variety of techniques and colours. The next chapter for me looks colourful and big.
