It’s been 2 weeks since we’ve seen you all in Granard! You may have noticed a few people going around with film cameras during the festival, we finally have our first roll of film developed! Thank you to our brilliant film photographer .my.nh for capturing the weekend so beautifully!

It’s been an incredible festival and our biggest one to date 📚 We hope you enjoyed your time with us in Granard. Thank you so much to everyone for making it such a remarkable festival. See you all again in 2027, in our National Booktown in the Heart of Ireland!

📕 Dr. Marie Cassidy became a forensic pathologist in 1985 following her training as a histopathologist. She worked as a Consultant Forensic Pathologist in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in Glasgow for the next thirteen years, investigating unnatural deaths and homicides, from gangland shootings and stabbings, to drug deaths, road traffic accidents and suicides.

Her memoir, Beyond The Tape, was a number one bestseller and has been translated into several languages. Her gripping debut crime novel, Body of Truth, was published in November 2023 and ranked among the Top Ten bestselling novels in Ireland that year. Her second novel in the crime series, Deadly Evidence, was published in October 2025 and was an instant number one bestseller in Ireland.
