It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Pat Fiddler Coyne. Pat was our Sound and Lighting Engineer for Seisiun for the last number of years and he brought his expertise and attention to detail to all the performances. He also brought good humour and quiet support for all the performers. Pat had a special bond with Seisiun as his father Johnny was one of the founding members and his brother Frank played with the group for many years and it was great to have him continuing the tradition the past few year. We would like to extend our condolences to his wife Julie and his daughter Andrea and his son Adam and to all his family, friends and the wider community. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the unexpected passing of our much loved friend and valued colleague, Pat ‘Fiddler’ Coyne.
To Julie his adored wife, his son Adam, his daughter Andrea and her partner Jonathan we offer our heartfelt and deepest sympathies and can only imagine the pain that you are now all suffering.
As his radio family, we share in the immense grief of Pats passing, alongside his many friends and relatives and the entire Connemara Community who are grieving this loss.
Pat was a dedicated professional who made immeasurable contributions to our staff team, our Volunteers and to our listeners of Connemara Community Radio. Pat was a perfectionist, meticulous in all he did and this he passed on to the many staff and volunteers he trained here at the radio. His pride in his work came first at all times. We were lucky to have worked alongside such a talented, hardworking individual.
Over the past couple of days, we have come together to remember Pat and show support to each other, such is the huge loss that we now feel. We have laughed and cried and shared stories of a beautiful GENTLE MAN, with a twinkle in his eye and the most beautiful smile that we will always remember. Our friendship and memories will be with us forever.
We know that he was so loved by all who knew him.
Pat was truly one of a kind, and he will be missed beyond measure.
