Druid first moved into what was then an abandoned and run down part of town in 1979 and since then the building has been Druid’s home and the birthplace of their work. The building started the development of the 'Left Bank' area of Galway and is now the most visited part of the city. The Mic

✨ BIG NEWS! We are so excited to announce our next production - Hill of the Hares by Maria Tivnan

“there might be some kind of solace in what surrounds us”

After nine years apart, Cass and Michael meet again on the day of a funeral drawn back to the place they call home, and to the night that changed everything between them. Their meeting marks a pivotal moment, heightened by the reappearance of an elusive hare. As past and present intertwine, the play delves into the intimate lives of its characters, tracing their shared history and unspoken wounds.

Fregoli Theatre in association with The Mick Lally Theatre and Roscommon Arts Centre presents Hill of the Hares - a lyrical and haunting exploration of love, loss, and the enduring pull of home from Roscommon native Maria Tivnan. Rooted in the Irish landscape, this evocative new play asks audiences to listen to the earth, reflecting on where we come from, and what may call us back.
