The Galway Potters Market is fast approaching! Potters and Ceramic Artists from all over Ireland will be showcasing their clay creations. May 30-31st in Eyre square Galway city.

Delighted to have KaroArt back at the market this year with her wonderful work.

Karo’ Art is a Dublin based potter who's mission is to make ‘little pieces of art’ – highly creative, yes, but functional and therefore justifying their existence. They are an absolute treat to own and use and make everyday brighter. Karo uses clay as canvases to illustrate stories for others to read. She makes basic hand-built and slip-cast forms and then throws herself into decorating process afterwards, with techniques she developed and enriched over the years of practice. Her illustrations are full of fun, sensitivity, and whimsy. They tell stories in simple and understated ways.

Church House Pottery is a small ceramics studio run by Lorna Hayes, based in Cork working from her studio in their converted church. Each piece is hand built using slab, coil and pinch techniques, with botanical decoration inspired by the surrounding landscape. The work is produced in small batches, balancing function with a quite organic aesthetic. Designed for everyday use each piece carries subtle variation and the mark of hand making.

Meet the Potters coming to the Galway Potters market in a week's time - May 30-31st, 10am-6pm in Eyre Square in Galway City.

Tatiana Dobos is a ceramic artist based in the west of Ireland, where she works from her small studio creating expressive, emotionally driven artworks. Her practice explores the connection between human sentiment and form, rooted in a deep fascination with molding raw clay into meaningful shapes. Tatiana believes that emotions manifest visually: balance and fulfillment emerge as smooth, circular forms, while inner conflict and negative feelings take shape in sharper, more angular structures. Her work seeks to materialize the mechanisms of internal battles while examining the anatomy of their aftermath.
