As we start looking back on Galway Uke Fest 2026, we wanted to take a moment to thank the incredible musicians who shared their talents with us throughout the weekend.

From Noriana Kennedy & Mad Uncle Harry opening the festival with a special reunion concert and album launch, to Marc Gallagher's masterclass in musicianship and Southern Beauty's stunning harmonies led by Alison Wheeler, our Festival Tent was filled with unforgettable moments.

Saturday brought wonderful performances from Charlie McGettigan and The Henry Girls, while Sunday's family concert with Ukulele Simon, St Patrick's National School and special guests brought smiles to faces of all ages.

Beyond the main stage, our workshop leaders inspired players throughout the weekend, visiting groups filled Galway's streets and venues with music, and our play-alongs brought hundreds of voices and ukuleles together in true Galway Uke Fest style.

These clips capture just a few of those moments.

To every artist, performer, workshop leader and musician who helped make Galway Uke Fest 2026 so special, thank you for sharing your music, your time and your passion with us.

We couldn't do it without you.

And that's a wrap on Galway Uke Fest 2026.

At the end of the day, this festival has never really been (all) about ukuleles. It's about people, community, the friendships we make along the way, and the joy of spending a few days together sharing music.

Thank you to every performer, workshop leader, visiting group, late-night session player and festival-goer who helped make this weekend so special. If you've been strumming for four days straight, your fingers must be sore by now.

Thank you to our incredible Helpeleles, box office team, tech crew, tent crew and everyone working behind the scenes. Festivals don't happen by accident, and we are lucky to have such a dedicated team.

Thank you to our sponsors, funders and partners for believing in what we do, and to Taylor's Bar for keeping the pints flowing and the Festival Bar buzzing all weekend long.

Thank you to the residents and businesses of Galway's West End, Galway Vitners, The Latin Quarter, and the wider city for welcoming us once again.

And finally, thank you to Gerry, Brendan and Jane, along with the entire Galway Uke Fest team, whose hard work throughout the year makes these four magical days possible.

Whether you travelled from down the road or across the world, thank you for being part of it.

We'll leave you with tired fingers, full hearts and plenty of memories.

See you in 2027... Almost maybe definitely.

DAY 3! Before we head into the final day of Galway Uke Fest 2026, here are a few quick snaps from an incredible Saturday.

From workshops and sessions across the Festival Hub, to the Amble-lele taking over Galway's streets, the Golden Uke Competition, performances in the Festival Bar including Ukulele Tuesday and Ukulele Simon , RUGS at The Quays, and a wonderful evening with Charlie McGettigan and The Henry Girls, Day 3 was packed from start to finish.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, performed, volunteered, played, sang and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere throughout the city.

Now we're ready for one last day of music, community and ukulele fun.

Take a look through some of yesterday's highlights and we'll see you at the Festival Hub!

One of the best things about Galway Uke Fest is that the music doesn't stay in one place.

A huge thank you to The Ukaholics from Spain for their fantastic pop-up performance in Tigin yesterday, and to all the groups and players who filled Galway's pubs, streets and venues with music throughout the day and night.

The festival spirit is alive all over the city.

Today, don't miss Rathfarnham Ukulele (Rathfarnham Ukulele Group), who will be performing upstairs in The Quays at 4pm. It's free to attend and open to everyone.

Keep your eyes and ears open as you wander through Galway this weekend. You never know where the next ukulele performance might pop up!

Day Two at Galway Uke Fest 2026!

Here are a few quick snapshots from around Friday's festivities.

From the Ukulele Céilí and free performances in the Festival Bar, to open mics, workshops and plenty of sunshine in the Festival Hub, the festival atmosphere was in full swing all day long.

The evening was rounded off with a fantastic Festival Tent concert featuring Marc Gallagher and Southern Beauty, followed by late-night tunes and Festival Clubs across the city.

A huge thank you to everyone in our festival group chat who has been sharing photos and videos throughout the weekend. These snapshots have come from all corners of the festival and really capture the spirit of Galway Uke Fest.

Keep them coming!
