On Behalf of our community.
There are a large number of vulnerable people in our community. Naturally everyone’s first concern is their immediate family, any rightly so. Can we also ask that you then focus on neighbours and anyone in your immediate vicinity that may need help? This may help to allay fears they have or give additional comfort that someone is there to help if they are needed. Small actions by the whole community will undoubtedly help the situation.
Common sense should be applied in all cases and guidelines on containment should be adhered to.
So, the ask is:
• Identify vulnerable people in your vicinity
• Make contact – if visiting take the precautions advised by the HSE
• Communicate that there are local people willing to help
• Reassure them – Best practice on dealing with people - No issues with food shortages
• Insure they have the basics – Soap etc
• Get/Give contact details for ease of communication
• Setup a call every couple of days to check in
If our community respond to this, it will limit the virus more than anything doctors or hospitals can do. We appreciate your support, please contact one of the committee if we can help in any way,
