Westside Library
The WFHA will hold a free workshop on family history and genealogy at Westside Library. Members of the public are invited to bring their genealogical research and queries to experienced WFHA members, who wil offer advice on sources and strategies for Irish family history research. A huge growth in the availability of online material has revolutionised this area in recent years, meaning it has never been easier to start tracing your ancestors. All are welcome!

A new national advertising campaign is asking everyone to take a closer look at what their local authority library has to offer.
All public libraries around the country are joining in the campaign, which is running for the next four weeks across radio, cinema, TV on demand, digital and social.
The aim of the campaign is to encourage people of all ages to join and use the library.

More upcoming performances with Magdalena Hylak in the installation space LONGDROP as part of RESIDUE Exhibition of Contemporary Clay at Galway Arts Centre. Performances are happening between 12pm -1pm this SATURDAY, October 21st and Friday 27th October.

The interconnection between systemic process, maintenance, materiality and entropy comes to life with sound, water and movement. The gestures within the environment; slowing down time and condensing of space becomes markers of suspension and ability to hold together over time. Our attention and focus on fullness in space and in part both performer and audience become the vessels activating the work.
