A Candlelight Christmas at Mount Carmel with the wonderful Helen Hancock and the Triskel Ensemble on Weds 10th of December.

What a special way to kick off the Christmas season! Helen and the ensemble will perform a programme full of nostalgia featuring a medley of songs from The Sound of Music, with famous movie themes from ET, Home Alone, and songs from Les Mis and Evita, alongside favourites like A Christmas Song, Walking in the Air, O Holy Night and some of your favourite Christmas carols.

Culture Night 19th September - Singing For The Soul - Mount Carmel Loughrea - Free Admission

Hosted in the former Mount Carmel Monastery, the Galway County Integration Team and Mount Carmel Concerts present a special workshop with renowned jazz vocalist and choir director Róisín Mulliez.

This 2-hour communal singing workshop invites participants of all levels to explore the joy of group singing through grounding exercises, playful vocal warm-ups, and easy-to-learn songs from folk, bluegrass, and gospel traditions. No experience is required—just an openness to share in the uplifting power of song.

The Kandinsky Quartet at Mount Carmel

The Kandinsky Quartet perform in the beautifully intimate Mount Carmel, as part of their debut concert tour of Ireland. Founded in Vienna in 2020 – this quartet is quickly making its presence felt across Europe.

Based in Vienna, one of Europe's cultural capitals, the quartet represents a synthesis of traditional chamber music expertise and a dynamic, modern approach to music.

In April 2024, they were awarded First Prize at the Gasteig Competition in Munich. Previous accolades include prizes at the Boccherini and Mozart Competitions, as well as the Verbier Anniversary Prize.
