Hello poetry friends!
I wanted to give you all a quick update on Glasshouse Poetry Night. While today is the first Wednesday of the month, we will (again) not be having the open mic virtually or otherwise. I have been having a difficult time recently with everything that has been going on. I am healthy, just a bit emotionally and mentally exhausted. I wanted to keep you all informed because we are a very strong community and I aim to keep it that way with transparency and love. I will try and organize a virtual open mic soon most likely through Instagram Live and it wont be the first Wednesday, but I would like to make it happen at some point this month. Thank you all for your patience.
I want to give you all a writing prompt to encourage you all to keep writing. The prompt for this day is: "What will the world be like when things get better?" This can be global or local or personal. Feel free to post your poem on the Glasshouse Poetry Open Mic FB wall as a text or a video.
You are all amazing people and poets and we are lucky to have a community of which you are such a crucial part. Encourage each other. Keep writing. Keep reading. Keep sharing your work. Lets get through this and we'll see you very soon.
