Tonight, Ballinderreen Community Centre were delighted to accept a Galway Co Co Cathaoirleach’s Award in the category of Heritage Publications. The award reflected the work completed on a series of eleven podcasts, a short documentary film on the achievements of the local community, a StoryMap of the parish and an audit of the built, natural and cultural heritage of the civil parishes of Kilcolgan and Drumacoo. Representing Ballinderreen Community Centre and the local heritage groups were Breandán Ó Loinsigh, Martin Murphy and Michael Coen.

Ballinderreen Village Clean and Spruce Up

Ballinderreen Tidy Towns Committee is organising another community clean up/spruce up of Ballinderreen Village and would love your help!

Date: Wednesday, May 13th
Time: 7pm
Meeting Point: Jordan’s Pub Car Park

Let’s work together to build on the great work already completed, to make our village a cleaner, more welcoming place for everyone. We still have some weeding to do, and we would like to get some planting completed to bring a little brightness to our planters.

If you’re able to lend a hand, please bring along any of the following if you have them:

Hi-vis vests
Gloves
Shovels, spades, or trowels
Sweeping or yard brushes.
With First Holy Communion taking place in the Village on May 16th, all help is greatly appreciated. Whether you can stay for five minutes, an hour or the evening, we would be delighted to see you.

We hope to see you there!

Thank you,

Ballinderreen Tidy Towns
