Come along to our Little Cinema & Galway City of Film Networking Night on Wednesday 19th August in the PorterShed.

You can chat with other prospective team members, find out about applications opening dates and general information about the 48 Hour! Or just come along for the chats!

Doors are 7pm in Portershed a Dó on Market Street (opposite Boots) if you can make it.

SAVE THE DATE!
We’re delighted to announce that the Little Cinema & Galway City of Film 48 Hour Challenge is taking place this year on 24th – 27th September!

It's hard to believe but this is our TENTH 48 Hour Challenge and we’re so excited to see what teams make! Once again filmmakers all over Galway will devise, write, shoot and edit a 5 minute film in just 48 Hours with lots of criteria to include!

We’ll have a Networking Evening in the fabulous PorterShed a Dó (H91 TCX3) on 19th August, so come along to find out all the information on the Challenge and to maybe get involved in a team.

This Wednesday at The Little Cinema!

It’s an Open Genre Night so there were no restrictions and we have some great films lined up!

Joined us at Seven Bar Galway for a fantastic night and see the filmmakers present their work on stage before each film. Thanks to everyone who got in touch!

This month at The Little Cinema we’ll be having an Open Genre Night on Wednesday, June 24th!

Come join us to see everything from short films and documentaries, to sketches and music videos, all introduced by their makers on stage!

Let us know if you’re making something/ have something made for it so we can save you a spot. Try to keep films short so we can squeeze in as many as possible 🙌

Premiering TOMORROW NIGHT at the Little Cinema!

Come along for a packed night full of fake film trailers and short films, all presented on stage by their makers!

CHALLENGE: Make a film in one continuous shot.

Check out the rules for more info, some of you have done it before and it's time to step that game up one more time!

Doors are 8pm on Wed 29th April 2026 and tickets are available on our website thelittlecinema.com/tickets/

If you're making something let us know so we can try to keep a space for you.

If we get too many submissions we'll choose the films which pushed the boundaries and embraced the spirit of the challenge the most.
