Thank you Tread Softly and Blue Raincoat Theatre Company for your gorgeous event where we recreated some carvings (from Carrowkeel) on Coney Island beach in Sligo! Over 500 people, feet in water, stunning landscape, rain and shine, smiles galore! We had visitors from Seattle who adored the experience! Great to see old pals including Ollie and tarabmcg too (you can spot Tara being a megaphone Goddess too but we were too busy chatting later to take more pics). What a day Niceol Blue

The wonderful Faroe Islands… what a pleasure to deliver a full day workshop and a storytelling performance for such lovely participants and listeners - thank you. Kudos to Niceol Blue for coming on the adventure, joining for some songs and taking some pics. Biggest thanks to Urd Johannesen for inviting me, such a beautiful spot!

Storytelling has long been a popular aspect of our festival and we are happy to engage, inspire and participate in one of the oldest forms of oral tradition still practiced today. Let's welcome Órla Mc Govern.

Órla Mc Govern is an award-winning Storyteller, Performer, Writer and Facilitator based in Galway, Ireland. She performs and teaches around the world from arena stages, to cottages, from the Antrim Glens to the Finnish Forests. Órla works regularly in improvisation, film and television and is the Artistic Director of The Moth & Butterfly Storytelling collective and festival. As a writer, she makes work for stage and film and has two books of stories for children. She’s been a member of Interface Inagh, Praxis, and Storytellers of Ireland. She is delighted to be back in Oulu.
