On Sunday 8th April, a Cross Country Charity ride was held in Annaghdown to support the Motor Neurone Disease following the loss of Benny Golding of Bawnmore in 2011. It started outside Peggy’s Bar, went to Cregg Castle grounds, then on to the Bawnmore Estate, onto Slievefinn and then resting at the half-way house of Murray’s farm in Ardgaineen before heading back to Peggy’s for music, raffle and an auction.
