And in Healing Harvest
Rick Epping (harmonica, concertina, banjo, jaw harp), a native of California and living in the West of Ireland, has been moving back and forth between the United States and Ireland for over fifty years and has been playing the music of both lands since childhood. Rick has played with past musical greats as varied as Bluegrass founder Bill Monroe, guitarist Doc Watson, Texas bluesman Mance Lipscomb and legendary Irish accordionist Joe Cooley. Rick’s performances, which include old-time stringband songs and tunes, blues and traditional dance music from Ireland and beyond, reflect the heritage passed on to him by these and many others, throughout a lifetime dedicated to making their music his own.
BrĂan Mac Gloinn is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Carlow, best known as one of Ye Vagabonds, the band he formed with his brother Diarmuid.
As well as writing and singing original songs, BrĂan has a strong connection to the singing tradition of Ulster and of his mother’s native Arranmore Island, where he spends much of his time. He co-founded bilingual traditional singing & music festival FĂ©ile RĂłise Rua on the island.
Now based in Co. Wicklow, BrĂan is currently touring, writing, producing some albums and making musical nature documentaries for radio.
