I'm going to be making me DRAG DEBUT as for the ❤️ AND I'm going to be selling some goods at the Family Fun Day from Sunday 12 - 3pm alongside some other fabulous creators!

To my US friends, and to anywhere in the world that has to face barriers to access free, safe, legal and local abortion services: this one’s for you. The last few days have been heavy. Seeing Roe v Wade overturned, and watching stories of pregnant people across the US who have already been facing barriers to abortion care has been harrowing. I can only imagine the horror of living it right now.

So much love and solidarity from Ireland. We fought long (LONG) and hard to repeal our 8th amendment in the Republic of Ireland, which we passed by public vote in 2018 - but despite this monumental change we still have folks who don’t have access to abortion. Many are still forced to travel (to different counties, and even abroad) because of the restrictive nature of abortion in Ireland. Our comrades in Northern Ireland are still awaiting the widespread implementation of abortion care since it was decriminalised in October 2019. Many are watching their mainland-UK allies SCREAMING about the US, while having no idea how close this issue is to them, where similar restrictions are still allowed.

It can feel enraging, and hopeless - let it radicalise you. Support the great networks of abortion support that have existed for decades across the world. If there isn’t one in your area, liaise with a group already off the ground. Keep your fight intersectional, because it will always be those who are the most marginalised that will be the most harmed. BIPOC pregnant people, disabled pregnant people, poor pregnant people, pregnant people who can’t travel like undocumented people or folks who already have kids.

Don’t donate your money to politicians using this as a fundraising opportunity, donate it to the grassroots abortion networks. Some international resources to check out below:

Well hello pals! Long time no chat, but my health has continued to be a struggle thanks to ongoing chronic illnesses (along with the injuries & infections they make me more prone to 🙃) - but I'm doing my absolute best to try and take care of myself. For any of my disability-specific content, you can follow me over on going forward ❤️

Anyways, back to art. Digital art is still very challenging on my hands, but I've done some occasional bursts of painting & embroidery from my bed the last 2 months. They're both 2 great low energy creative outlets for me.

This painting was a Christmas gift for my mom of our old family pet Jessie; a beautiful dog we rescued that we only had the privilege of having for a few short years. I only got to give it to her 2 weeks ago (thanks, global panini) but it went down a treat!

We’re BBAACCCKKK!!

West Q***r Art is BACK OPEN, and we’re accepting orders for the holiday period from today (well yesterday, lol) until 11.59pm Wednesday, December 8th.

At this time we’re only taking orders from Ireland, the UK, and the EU ONLY. This is just to help us make sure it’s got the best chance of being delivered to you before Christmas - but PLEASE do try to do any online shopping (from any site, not just me ha) ASAP, as the postal service is already under severe pressure nationally and internationally due to Brexit, COVID, and shipping shortages.

We’ve got stickers, badges, pins, prints and cards - so plenty of things that can be cute AF stocking fillers.

We also have GIFT CARDS, which is always a great reliable gift.

Thanks for your ongoing support and patience through illness, pain flares, and the rollercoaster that has been 2021. We’ll be open to orders from near-all international regions again come 2022!!
