Finally back after those Covid years.
Craughwell Community Games Art, Model Making and Handwriting Competition
When: Saturday 27th of May 2023
Where: Ballymana National School
Time: 3-4.30pm for competition and medal presentation afterwards.
Entry Fee: 5euro per child or 10euro per family (to cover for the cost of the medals and affiliation to community games. You can register ahead of time by contacting [email protected].
ART Competition
Art competition ranges from under 8, under 10, under 12, under 14 and under 16 in both boys and girls categories. The piece of Art has to be related to community games. You must provide your own materials such as colouring pencils, markers, paper etc as no materials will be available on site. A3 size paper would be advisable. For children under 10 and under they can draw any community games event however for u12 and above they must select one of the topics below to draw.

Table Tennis, Basketball, Choir, Chess, Soccer, Gymnastics, Art, Javelin, Solo Dance, Swimming
Model Making
Under 10, under 12, under 14 and under 16 both boys and girls categories. You can make a model of anything to do with Community Games and you can use any form of material, plastercine, plastic, cardboard, wire, glass etc. Again you must provide your own materials. Max size of display 60 x 60cm. We have had a lot of County and All Ireland winners in the past in this category and the numbers participating have gone down. So it would be great to see more taking part.
Handwriting Competition
Handwriting: Under10 and Under 12 boys and girls. In this case I will provide the paper and pencils as they need to be the same to give each competitor an equal chance. You will be given a small passage/poem/newspaper clipping that you must copy including all punctuations etc.

Please note that the community games ages/ age categories are based on the age of the child before the 31st of July.. In order to enter the child must reside in Craughwell Parish.
