People who sing together in a choir feel more connected to each other, it encourages comradery & gives you something to really look forward to each week. It breaks down barriers, gives you support systems we need in life. The discipline & the structure gives everyone including the youth, life skills & tools for their learning.
In this day and age, it’s so important to unplug from our digital devices, connect with each other and reduce feelings of loneliness/perceived social isolation. Community singing is an effective intervention for improving people's mental health
