For our last post on the Christmas episode, we thought we'd share this lovely selfie with the Snowman from Glenbrien. See him in the opening of the episode:

Thanks to everyone who watched the episode. We hope to have another Jo only, Wexford-based episode for you in January or February. And after that, we should have a video out more regularly.

See you in 2021!

Fun fact. Jo sang two carols for our christmas episode of Bogger Vlog.

You may notice Jo singing in Irish at the very end of our Christmas episode. She's specifically singing a verse from the Irish version of the 'Enniscorthy Carol', aka the 'Wexford Carol'. This carol was composed in the 15th or 16th century and transcribed in Enniscorthy in the late 1800s.
The reason we included it, according to Jo was that: 'it would be completely idiotic not to use it in a Christmas themed episode about Enniscorthy.'
Luckily for us, Jo knew the lyrics from when she sang it as a little girl.

Let us know what you think of the carol and of Jo's singing. The episode can be found over at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDC5kyeg0fcxNsVP0tT5gtg

We'd love if you liked or subscribed on the video.

---Subtitles Update---

Because Jo is a bit hard to hear through her mask, we've made sure to add manually-created subtitles to our new Christmas episode. The Youtube generated subtitles were pretty good, but they kept subtitling Enniscorthy as 'is a sporty.' These should be much better now.

Enjoy the episode on our channel at:

All our future episodes will upload with subtitles from now on. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

It's been a long time since we were able to do another episode but we wanted to make something to celebrate Christmas in the place that Jo calls home.
Merry Christmas to everyone and we hope you enjoy!

A big thanks to everybody who watched the first episode, we've gotten a really good response so far. Now we can't wait to bring you the next one.

(We're almost as excited about it as this random dog in Ballon was about saying hello to Jo.)

Bogger Vlog is a travel show that stays local: because there’s plenty of exploring to be done around here. In our first episode, host Jo Heffernan meets her mate Brian O’Toole in his home of Ballon Co. Carlow to see what the village has to offer.
