The Dinan School Of Ballet.

The school was established in 1987 by Niamh Dinan. Classes are available from preparatory to advanced level.

Over the years our students have performed with the Ukrainian State Ballet and the Ellen Kent Opera Company, the Royal Academy of Dance and the Galway Arts Festival. Our television appearances include RTE's People In Need, the Late Late Toy Show, Sky One's Got to Dance and RTE's Pump Up My Dance. Students have also successfully auditioned for the Yorkshire Ballet Seminars, the Irish National You

th Ballet, the Irish Youth Russian Ballet Company, Youth Ballet West, Monica Loughman Ballet Company, Ballet Boost and Morea Performing Arts associates as well as many vocational and third level dance colleges. Our students have consistently gained high marks in exams with the RAD and IDTA and have won scholarships to summer schools with both the RAD and YBS, as well as regular nominations to the International Theatre Dance Awards. We began dancing competitively in 2012 and since then our students have had a lot of competition success, winning numerous awards, including all-Ireland and international titles in ballet and lyrical at such competitions as the Irish National Dance Awards, the IDTA All-Ireland Dance Championships, the National Dance Championships and the International Theatre Dance Awards. Locally we've been involved in fashion shows and fundraisers and we've performed with Ennis Musical Society, the Ennis Street Festival and Relay For Life. All our students get a chance to perform in our annual show in Glor and also have regular opportunities to take dance exams. The school offers expert tuition to all levels from preparatory to advanced.

I’m delighted to share the fabulous news that our senior student Naoise has been nominated for the International Theatre Dance Awards which will take place in the UK in Spring 2027.
Naoise was nominated after receiving a mark in the high 90s for her Advanced 1 ballet exam. This is Naoise’s third nomination. She was a finalist in 2021 and 2025, while also receiving a Special Commendation in 2025.
Congratulations Naoise! This is a wonderful achievement! ✨✨✨

What an incredible show! ✨🩰

I am beyond proud of every single dancer who stepped onto the stage and gave their all during the last two nights in glór. Your hard work, commitment, passion, and courage shone through in each performance, and it has been such a joy to watch you grow throughout this journey.

A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful ballet families for your endless support, encouragement, and dedication behind the scenes — none of this would be possible without you.

Congratulations to all of our dancers on a truly beautiful performance. You should all be so proud of yourselves! 💖
