GALWAY STORIES
233. Paula Depta is an interior decorator, home stager, Polish community educator, sensory integration trainer, Montessori educator, and artisan craftswoman.
Her journey to what she does today began much earlier than one might expect. As a child, she was involved in DIY projects and space arrangement activities encouraged by her father, while also winding balls of yarn and watching her grandmothers knit and create by hand. She grew up surrounded by books on architecture and practical making. Over time, her natural desire to create evolved into a conscious career path. She completed her studies in interior design and today works as both an interior decorator and home stager.
She helps people create beautiful, mindful, and welcoming living spaces. She advises clients on how to unlock the potential of an interior without costly renovations, using colour, light, texture, materials, and carefully chosen accessories to create spaces that are calming, expressive, or inviting, depending on individual needs. Through home staging, she supports property owners in preparing homes for sale or rent, creating interiors that attract attention, appeal to potential buyers or tenants, and increase the value of a property offer.
Through interior design workshops, she shares practical knowledge gained from both professional experience and her educational work. She demonstrates how simple changes can transform rental properties, how to avoid common decorating mistakes, and how to create interiors that are welcoming, functional, and full of character.
By passion, she is also an artisan and visual artist, which allows her to combine aesthetics, functionality, and emotion into a cohesive whole. She is a trainer in sensory development, Montessori pedagogy, and a Polish community educator. For many years, she has supported children in their natural development—from infancy through the teenage years—encouraging curiosity, independence, creativity, and confidence.
She leads creative workshops for children aged 5–12, where she follows the natural development of each young person, creating opportunities for self-expression and nurturing individual potential. She is particularly passionate about keeping alive the natural spark for creativity that every child carries within and building an environment where children can explore, experiment, and create freely without fear of judgment. She believes that in creative work, the process is more important than the final result.
As an artisan, she also creates giant flowers—unique, handcrafted decorations for events and special occasions. These distinctive installations bring a touch of magic to celebrations, highlight the significance of important moments, and create unforgettable settings for cherished memories.
She finds inspiration in silence and the natural world. Nature remains her favourite place to reconnect and create, and it is there that many of her ideas are born.
Every beautiful interior begins with a vision.
