Curtain Call Productions Dungarvan is a community-based drama group, founded in April 2014 to provide members of our community with the opportunity to participate in quality drama productions. We welcome members over 16 years of age from all walks of life, regardless of their stage/theatre experience up to now. Our main aim is to produce quality drama while having fun! The buzz of being involved i

n a production, be that on stage or behind the scenes, is immeasurable. And we want as many people as possible to experience that feeling! So far, we have given over 20 people their first opportunity to tread the boards in a drama in Dungarvan! Another aim, dear to the heart of our founders, is to participate in the Amateur Dramatic Council of Ireland All-Ireland Festival Circuit, giving members of our group a chance to participate and compete on a national level. This dream became a reality in 2016, when we competed in the Amateur Drama Council of Ireland Three-Act All-Ireland festival with The Graduate. And in 2017, we competed with Patrick Marber's play, Closer. On both occasions, we won many awards and received many nominations for acting, directing, set design, sound/lighting etc. So if you've ever wanted to act, direct, build a stage or even sell raffle tickets, we'd love you to get involved! One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (Oct 2014)
2. Steel Magnolias (March 2015)
3. The Graduate (Sept/Oct 2015). We also performed The Graduate for 3 nights in Nov 2015 in Garter Lane, Waterford. Also competed in the ADCI Three-Act Festival (Confined) Section in Feb/March 2016.
4. A Streetcar Named Desire (Sept/Oct 2016)
5. Closer (8 - 11 Feb 2017). Also competed in the ADCI Three-Act Festival (Confined) Section in Feb/March 2017.

Hi Folks,
After over 40 years in business, we are devastated to announce that the fire that engulfed the Tycor business centre last night, affecting so many businesses, has caused devastation to Nomac productions that has left our building in ruins. We are yet to learn the full extent of the damage, but we know that the loss we have suffered is immeasurable. Over 50,000 costumes, many handmade by us and many vintage and historical pieces that hold not only endless memories for us, but endless memories for all of those who have worn them, from here in Waterford to across the entire country. We are simply devastated.

We would like to express our endless gratitude to the Fire and Emergency services who have worked tirelessly for the last two days to control the blaze. Their bravery and dedication in the face of this danger is truly admirable, and we are deeply thankful for their courage and sacrifice.

We don't yet know what this means for Nomac Productions, and we will be figuring out those steps over the coming weeks. We know that this will be as confusing and scary for us as it is for all of you. However, we know that Nomac productions is so much more than the Warehouse and workroom we have lost. It is our amazing clients who have trusted us with their visions for over 40 years. It is the endlessly talented and committed staff that have brought Nomac to life, Jenna, Donna and Dawn . It is the community that has supported us and uplifted our business since the very beginning. It is our families, friends, suppliers, supporters and everyone who has donned a Nomac costume to deliver a performance.

Thank you for all the messages of support over the last few days, and throughout the years.
BlΓ‘naid and all the staff at Nomac Productions.
Our hearts go out to Blanaid MacCann and Staff at Nomac Productions.....the fire has desamated all the beautiful period costumes...that can never be replaced! Nomac has been part of the theatre community, both musicals and drama ....it is indeed a very sad situation!
