The music of Harry Partch comes to Dundalk.

On Saturday 20 June, LCMS brings the work of one of America’s great outsiders to the Spirit Store.

Partch built his own instruments.
Invented his own tuning system.
Made music that sits somewhere between theatre, ritual, song, speech and the open road.

At Coming Together, Charles Corey and Luke Fitzpatrick perform U.S. Highball and 10 Lyrics of Li Po on adapted instruments.

This is one of those LCMS concerts that may never happen here again.

Here is your chance to perform on the main stage of the Spirit Store and follow in the footsteps of so many great young bands who have come through the Emergence programme.

We’d love to hear new talent from around the north east.

We also invite everyone to come down to support the bands of the future.

Emergence is an initiative of Dundalk Youth Centre working with the Spirit Store. This series of Saturday afternoon gigs has already uncovered some awesome talent.

Based in Ireland, this six-piece band is comprised of top Irish session musicians who have worked as sidemen with top international artistes including Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, The Waterboys, Mary Black, Henry McCullough, Joan Jet and SmashMouth to name a few. These guys cover every subtle nuance of Springsteen’s music with performances by veteran American singer and guitarist Monte Thompson that exude the passion of The Boss' timeless music.
