SJ McArdle returns to The Spirit Store to present All My Dream Companions Gone, a very special new album set in Louth during the Great War which The Irish Times called "a suite of compassionate, perceptive songs that are consummately performed" (4****).

SJ will be joined on the night by Róisín Ward Morrow on fiddle and vocals, Trevor Hutchinson on double bass (Lúnasa, The Waterboys) and Graham Henderson on accordion and keyboards (Fairground Attraction, Moving Hearts) to perform songs from the album and some old favourites.

SJ McArdle is an Irish folk songwriter “whose work feels deeply literary and atmospheric, often exploring memory, mining history in a very human way” (Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, RTÉ). He is known for his Droichead-produced PORT project and its accompanying RTE Radio 1 Album Of The Week Old Ghosts In The Water (“All the ingredients of great folk songs” – Lynette Fay, BBC), his previous work in award-winning folk band Kern and his career as a singer-songwriter in Nashville and Germany. SJ’s songs and performances have been featured in radio, film and television and he has toured and recorded extensively in Ireland, Europe and North America.

Shakalak are an Irish psychedelic hip-hop band who have built a dedicated cult following over the last number of years. Their music is built with live electronic beats, synthesisers, psychedelic electric guitar, and saxophone, coupled with the lyrical dexterity of poet John Cummins. They have performed sold out headline shows in Dublin (Whelan's, Workman’s Club, Grand Social, Button Factory) and many other venues and festivals around Ireland.

Their most recent album Kulture Bikki is a global, local, lyrical, musical, rhythmic trip.

Jinx Lennon sings of the factories, blind eyed border inhabitants, head the ball teachers of his past, the beauty and ugliness (in the same breath) of the border urban landscape, the things that make the workday transcendent for mental happiness, a cracked eyed view of family life all done to uplift himself so he can raise up the audience at hand.

Seen recently at Fish Town at Electric Picnic 2026 and All Together Now 2026 the Jinx show is like going to mass without the finger pointing.
In a word it is joyous without all the new age slobber.

Jinx has been writing and recording music since 1980 and he was involved in a number of underground Dundalk bands from 1985 to 1999 including Sneaky Pete and the Ostrich, Zen emeralds, Siver Seeds, Novena Babes, The Frocks. Jinx went solo in 1999.

Recently featured in Dennis Harvey and Lars Loven's "Celtic Utopia" movie about the rawer side of Irish folk music Jinx Lennon songs are now standard in the pubs of Belfast including "Newry Bird" and "We don't see Anything" which was recently covered by Ronan O'Snodaigh and Myles O'Reilly on their latest album.

Newly formed Alice In Chains tribute outfit, Men In The Box, are a bunch of muso friends that have been playing together in one form or another since 2017.
The band formed to perform a special one-off Alice In Chains Unplugged set in Cork in 2024 which was quickly followed with demand for a full electric set, and the response and feedback from initial shows has been overwhelming.

With a focus on performing accurate renditions of the classic grunge sounds, Men In The Box have worked hard to deliver a powerful and high energy set in homage to the iconic grunge giants.

The band consists of Carl Gillic on vocals, John Sherlock and Conall McMahon on guitars, Kevin Brew on Bass and Chris Stynes on drums.
