The CBOI is Open to young musicians aged 13–24, CBOI offers outstanding orchestral training and performance opportunities, including our Summer Workshop (27th -31st July) in Coláiste Chu Chulainn, Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Why Join?
CBOI members perform to professional concert-orchestra standards, work with top conductors and tutors, tour internationally, participate in the Peace Proms Arena Tour, which includes up to 18 concerts to audiences of over 60,000 across iconic venues like the O2 Arena Belfast, RDS Simmonscourt Arena Dublin, UL Arena Limerick, and SETU Arena Waterford.

Requirements:
1. Age 13–24yrs: from anywhere in Ireland or Northern Ireland
2. Minimum Standard: Varies depending on section. e.g. for violin 1, grade 8 with distinction from ABRSM. For violin 3, grade 5 with merit from Trinity or ABRSM, or grade 6 with honours from RIAM.
3. Audition: Once your application is received, you will be asked to submit a video of two contrasting pieces at the appropriate level (e.g. Grade 8 for 1st violins)
4. Commitment is a key requirement. CBOI is in recess from mid-March until August to facilitate members taking school & college exams.

Schedule:
Rehearsals: 3 Sundays/month (Aug–Jan), in Dundalk
Concerts: Weekends (Jan–Mar)
Break from mid-March to August for exams

We are thrilled to support in promoting the incredible and award winning Chamber Singers from Fairfield County Children's Choir, Connecticut, USA who are visiting Ireland in June. We are fortunate to have performed with this amazing choir in the past including in Dundalk and in Carnegie Hall, New York. We couldn't praise of recommend them highly enough. If you get a chance to go see them, you will not be disappointed! All the concerts are free and open to the public.

This stunning ensemble of 39 young singers will present a varied and uplifting programme, featuring Irish classics as well as Broadway, jazz, gospel, and popular repertoire.

💕🎻🌟Massive congratulations to all of our CUI Junior and Intermediate Orchestra members, our Dynamics Violins, and to our wonderful beginner students on an absolutely outstanding End of Year Concert last Sunday. 🎶👏The progress made across the year has been phenomenal, and Sunday was a fantastic celebration of all the hard work, practice and perseverance. You played brilliantly, brought so much joy.

A very special thank you to all of our teachers for the incredible work they do.

A massive thank you also to our amazing parents who organised the after-party and much more. Your support is hugely appreciated. ❤️

Finally, a huge thank you to Principal Thomas Sharkey and everyone at Coláiste Chú Chulainn and LMETB for so generously hosting the CBOI and helping to make this invaluable work possible.💕🙌👏🫶
