We're so excited to share this episode of the Neuroconvergence Podcast - Spelling to Communicate: When Speech Isn't The Measure.

On this episode, non-speaking autistic spellers share their lived experience of communication, autonomy, and intelligence - challenging assumptions and redefining what access, education and inclusion should look like.

Guests: Anna Lechleiter, Adrienne Murphy, Max Whelan, Sam Saibu and Fallon Loftus.
Hosted by Michele Van Valey

Our very own has a show coming up!

Shows will be on 2pm & 7pm on the 12th & 13th June 2026 as part of Cork Midsummer Festival. Tickets available at www.corkmidsummer.com

STIMPHONY explores the music within stimming bodies and asks, what does somatic regulation sound like? How do our bodies and brains manage the constant sensory input of our world? We manage through stimming - and we celebrate, mourn, rage, and soothe through stimming too. Co-created with disabled adults in Cork and the Inclusive Music Ensemble, STIMPHONY is a new theatrical-symphonic engagement with Neurodivergent experiences through movements inspired by body-memory, emotional regulation, and personal growth. How does it feel to be us? More importantly, how does it sound?

Funded by the Arts Council of Ireland | An Chomhairle Ealaíon & Cork City Council Arts Office, Supported by MTU Cork School of Music and the Inclusive Music Ensemble, Commissioned by Cork Midsummer Festival.

🕞 3.15pm - 4.30pm
A Sense of Music
A powerful live musical performance and conversation exploring a central question: What does music feel like in the body, the brain, or the soul? Five of Ireland’s most revered musical artists – Rónán Ó Snodaigh, Dani Larkin, Áine Tyrrell, Fiachna Ó Braonáin and Myles O’Reilly – come together for an immersive exploration of music’s sensory, emotional and neurodivergent dimensions.

🕞 5.00pm - 6.00pm
Unveiled + panel on “Presuming Competence”.
Based on his own experiences as a non-speaker, Max Whelan’s brilliant, searing debut play brims with humour and heart. Unveiled is unapologetically political, challenging assumptions and demanding a new approach to communication and education.
