We’re so excited to open the first ever Razzamataz Theatre School in Ireland, and we can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the Limerick community!

For over 25 years, Razzamataz has been helping young people discover their love of dance, drama and singing, while building confidence, friendships and skills that go far beyond the stage.

And now, we are bringing the Razzamataz experience to a brand new community, creating a place where young performers can be themselves, try new things, make friends, perform and grow.

And this is just the beginning…

So exciting. Not long now till our first school in Ireland opens! Razzamataz Theatre Schools Limerick ✨🤩🇮🇪

We’d like to start introducing you to our fabulous team, starting with Operations Manager: Darcey Hawks. 💫

Darcey will be working behind the scenes to make sure everything is running smoothly, occasionally stepping in as a Performing Arts teacher when required.

Darcey attended Razzamataz Carlisle for 12 years from the ages of 6 to 18. Razzamataz became a second home for Darcey; she grew a love for performing arts but, more importantly, she loved to perform with her best friends by her side. Her time at Razzamataz opened her eyes to the opportunities in the performing arts industry. After school, Darcey completed a Performing Arts Diploma, then went on to Central Film School in London, where she received a First Class Honours Degree in Acting for Screen. Darcey has written, produced, and starred in multiple different projects, for both stage and screen. She has now come on board to bring Razzamataz to Limerick so she can help provide the children of Limerick with the same experience she had and help them with the start of their own journeys.

‘I fell in love with Razzamataz way back in 2011 when my 2 daughters joined at ages 6 and 9.  At that time Denise Gosney was still running her flagship school in Carlisle and I knew from the start we had found something very special as they rarely missed a class, made the best of friends and learnt life long skills all in a caring familiar setting.

My youngest daughter joined Tots at age 3 in 2018 and my daughter Darcey continued through until she graduated at 18 years old with skills that enabled her to continue her studies in acting.

Although my professional life has always been in law I have felt the desire to balance this with a more creative role and so am honoured and excited to have the opportunity to be Principal  of the first Razzamataz school in Ireland.

I moved to Limerick in early 2024 with my husband and youngest daughter to be near family and to re-establish my irish roots and to connect with the beautiful people and culture.
Both my parents are Irish, my mother was born and raised in Manister, Limerick and my father’s family hails from Roscommon.

I am thrilled to be part of bringing such an amazing school to Ireland and to share its fantastic ethos with the families of Limerick.  I truly believe in the schools ability to help build confident children through performing arts in fun, friendly and safe environment.’

As a teacher and Principal, one of the greatest rewards of owning a Razzamataz school is watching our students grow in confidence, both on and off the stage. ❤️

Every rehearsal, every word of encouragement, every challenge overcome together is part of a much bigger journey. It’s not just about preparing for a performance; it’s about helping young people discover what they’re capable of.

Seeing our students step into the spotlight with confidence is incredibly special, but knowing you’ve been part of building their self-belief, resilience, and love for the performing arts is even more rewarding.

The applause at the end of the show is wonderful, but for me, the real success is seeing our students leave each class a little more confident than when they arrived.
