Free Kids Sustainable Workshop!
When|2pm-4pm on Sat April 25th
Where|The Hive, Ballsbridge D4
What|Our team of super sustainable sewers will repurpose old kids trousers into shorts, patch up holes, tears in skirts & or dresses & basically repurpose what they can!
We will have some wonderful speakers covering homeopathy & all things eco friendly & a few other fun stuff for the kids should it rain 🙊
Weather permitting boys & girls can drop, play in playground & return to pick up their “brand spanking new” item.
Why|Lets show the next generation we care by teaching them some good old fashioned sustainability. Although the event is free space is limited & registration on Eventbrite is required.
Please bring one item of clothing per child .ie

We met a stunning young woman during the summer and we helped her with her scars using our studio 54 gold biodegradable glitter.. Took something negative in her eyes and made them beautiful!

What are stretch marks?

Just as it says on the tin, they’re marks that are left over from when the skin stretches. They can appear pretty much anywhere, but are most common locations are on the stomach, thighs and other places that store the most fat.

They can appear as angry red lines, purple slashes or silvery threads. They usually only look bad and don’t have any negative effects on your health.

They can also really knock your confidence and make you feel self-conscious. Many men say his stretch marks make him feel uncomfortable, “I avoid any topless times – even going into the swimming pool.”

Why do they happen?

Stretch marks appear whenever the body goes through periods of rapid change.

Striae are caused by the tearing of the middle layer of the skin, which then allows the deeper layers of skin to show through. This middle layer tears when it’s stretched too far and the stretchy fibres break, then the skin loses elasticity. This means it can’t bounce back as easily and stretch marks are formed.

But to us stretch marks are part of what makes us human. Each one is a vital part of the woven tapistry that makes us human. Let us help you Embrace them !
