Designed for accomplished performers ready to push their creativity further, the MA in Creative Music Performance is a one-year programme that brings together musicians from classical, jazz, rock and traditional backgrounds. 📣 Deadline extended! Applications for Jazz Camp for Girls at DCU are now open until next Friday 5 June.

Join Jazz Camp for Girls and explore jazz music and improvisation with like-minded girls; making up songs, experimenting, playing in a group, and having fun learning from inspiring women in jazz.

Presented by Improvised Music Company and facilitated by professional jazz musicians and educators Jenna Harris, Linda Adams, Hayley Kavanagh & Andrea Jones, this 3-day summer camp at DCU is designed to give girls aged 11–16 their first experience of improvised music in a supportive and fun environment that celebrates the role of women working in music.

Participants will work with a high-calibre team of professional jazz musicians and educators using the excellent facilities of the DCU Jazz & Contemporary Music Performance department. Thanks to generous support from Fingal Arts Office, the fee is heavily subsidised at just €45 for the full 3-day camp, with scholarships available where needed.

Jazz Camp for Girls* is a 3-day music summer camp at DCU, Dublin for 11-16 year old girls to explore and learn about jazz music, composition and improvisation in a supportive and fun environment, that also celebrates the role of women working in music.
