In electronic music, a two year silence usually means the end of a label. But for TOR (Tales of Romance), the deeper, more emotive label of the When We Dip family, this hiatus was a necessary reset before a deliberate transformation.
Today, the label officially reawakens for its next era. 🎶
Under the stewardship of When We Dip’s new owner Thomas Gaboury-Potvin (who was chief editor of When We Dip for the last 8 years) and artist/curator Cesar Hauy (aka Hauy) steering A&R and management, TOR returns to its founding ethos: releasing patient, story driven electronic music crafted equally for late night dancefloors and deep listening sessions.
To mark this turning point, TOR returns with ‘Hielo’, a landmark collaborative single from two of Vienna’s most compelling talents, Stefan Obermaier and Marner, complete with a pristine remix from deep house titan Gorge.
The release is out Friday August 21st. 🟡
