A Memorable Evening of Photography, Storytelling and Performance ✨📸

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of Eamon Carr’s Visions of America, accompanied by a beautiful limited edition Photo book, 'Almost Made This Place My Own'

A special highlight of the evening was Nigel Rolfe’s compelling performance piece, which added an evocative and thought-provoking dimension to the celebration.
We are grateful to all who attended, contributed to the atmosphere, and helped make the launch such a memorable occasion.

Congratulations to Eamon Carr on the successful launch of both the exhibition and photo book, and sincere thanks to Nigel Rolfe for a truly unforgettable performance.

Show running until June 19th in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.

Eamon Carr launches Visions of America 1978–79 - A major new photography exhibition and accompanying limited-edition book Almost Made This Place My Own in the Music Room in collaboration with SO Fine Art Editions and Powerscourt Townhouse Centre on the 11th June, 2026

Visions of America 1978–79 brings together a striking collection of photographs captured by Carr while travelling extensively across North America with Horslips during 1978 and 1979. Shot during a period of relentless touring, the images trace a restless journey across the States – from New York to Los Angeles, Michigan to Texas, Seattle to Miami – capturing fleeting encounters, roadside moments, urban textures and landscapes that together form a vivid portrait of America at the close of the 1970s.

We’re excited to present Cut Flowers by Oisín Byrne, an Irish artist, writer and filmmaker based in London. This new series of screenprints continues his exploration of scale, bold colour, floral form, gesture and the passing of time.

📍 Preview: 28 May, 6–8pm
🗓 Continues until 26 June

The Cut Flowers screenprints of Dahlias were conceived as a sister set to the triptych of Irises from 2023, extending that earlier edition’s exploration of scale, chromatic intensity and floral form. Rather than standing apart as a discrete suite, the Dahlias were imagined in dialogue with the Irises – their saturated petals and emphatic outlines designed to converse across the wall. In this way, the editions encourage combination, much like cut flowers gathered from different locations and held together in a single arrangement.
