The festival will combine culinary demos and exquisite dining with live music, and street entertainment, and artisan exhibits. Over the course of the festival weekend, a host of familiar faces will appear on the Main Stage within the Lobster Village, which, this year, is located in The Tramyard, to demo their favourite seafood recipes, share their expertise and have some fun. Prominent chefs, Derr
y Clarke (pictured above at the launch of the festival, with Peter Roberts of Roberts of Dalkey and Patsy Lowe of EBS Dalkey), JP McMahon, Mark Moriarty and Arun Kapil will be joined by Newstalk’s Dr Ciara Kelly, broadcaster and journalist Lorraine Keane, former international rugby legends Shane Byrne and Fergus McFadden and FM104 presenter of The Juice, Sean Munsanje – just some of the faces who have agreed to participate. Assisted by a group of eminent local chefs including Jérôme Fernandes, The Guinea Pig, Ronald Curman, Bubbas, Marian Minut, Benito’s, it is expected that over 6,000kg of lobster will be served over the festival weekend. Breast Cancer Ireland is the charity partner this year and many of its ambassadors and friends are getting ready to play their part in galvanizing the local community to help raise much-needed funds.
