So it's definitely Summer-time now (first big thunderstorm reminding us that despite the sunshine we still live in Ireland) and I felt it was high time I dropped in with an UPDATE!
I've been incredibly quiet around these parts after 2 monster projects working with Screen Scene. I mean my last update here was in January before I started back into work so I best explain myself.
First of all I was afforded the chance to work on one of my favourite shows, Game of Thrones, for it's sixth season doing some very messy 3D effects work, and we followed this up with a few weeks working on the new Independence Day film creating a nice big 3D VFX sequence.
Both projects pushed me to hitherto unbelievable limits and I can only look forward to new similar opportunities within Screen Scene.
For more personal projects I entered a piece into this years Animation Art Show, which I must upload here and there's a couple of bits uploaded onto My Vimeo, which I'm going to get on here retroactively, but in the meantime here's the last thing I rendered, a nice messy blood test in Phoenix FD.
Hope you're enjoying the humidity and get yourself out for a bit of fun.
Talk to ya later.

A quick messy RND simulation with Chaos Group's PFD. Definitely need to tweak a huge chunk of settings for how the blood sticks to the wall, tweak with how…
