Wicked Angels Theatre

Wicked Angels Theatre Wicked Angels Theatre was formed in 2007 by Georgina McKevitt and Jacinta Sheerin having first met when both in Dublin Youth Theatre.

Their first production was 'Waiting for IKEA', an original script written and performed by Georgina and Jacinta, which premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2007 in Bewley’s Café Theatre. It was the first show to sell out in advance of opening in the history of the Dublin Fringe Festival and additional shows were added to the run during the Festival. The inspiration for the script was to write a

piece that would play to their strengths and chemistry they had as friends and as strong female characters. The central themes of 'Waiting for IKEA' are friendship, family, neighbours and the dynamics that exist within a community.

'Waiting for IKEA' was performed to sold out houses at the following spaces:
Bewleys Cafe Theatre, Dublin; Axis Ballymun;, Mill Theatre, Dundrum; Electric Picnic; Cathedral Quarter, Belfast; Bulmers Comedy Festival, Dublin; Belltable, Limerick; Draiocht Blanchardstown, Civic Theatre, Tallaght, and the Fitup Festival Tour, West Cork, between 2007 and 2010.

'Before Colour' by Peter Dunne, another hit of Dublin Fringe Festival 2008, was also produced by Wicked Angels and performed by Georgina and Jacinta. In 2009 Chrissie, Ann, Jade placed 2nd in the annual Alternative Miss Ireland, performing to a sell out audience in Dublin's Olympia theatre.. In 2012 Georgina and Jacinta were delighted with a sell- out run in the ABSOLUT Fringe with a new co-written production 'I'm not ADHD, I'm BOLD'. The play is performed by Jacinta and the ABSOLUT Fringe award winning Clare Barrett ('I ♥ Alice ♥ I') and directed by Veronica Coburn (founding member of Barabbas, director of the 2012 Irish Times Theatre Award winning 'Eternal Rising of the Sun'). The play draws on the experiences of both Georgina and Jacinta who have worked in holistic and caring roles and is combined with their own delicious darkly comic twists. I'm not A.D.H.D...I'm B.O.L.D went on to win the Bewley's Little Gem ABSOLUT Fringe award and is back by popular demand at Bewley's Café Theatre opening on Jan 15th ( previewing 14th) running until 02 Feb 2013. So if you didn't get a chance to see us in the Fringe, come down to Bewley's, we would love to see you! Keep updated for further details on 'I'm not ADHD, I'm BOLD' on our page!
