We are half way through the exhibition already and off to a good start with a lot of lovely guests popping in to visit today and not all of them leaving empty handed! The rain held off and there was a great atmosphere around the park.

This year Luiza Doyle has joined the group for the first time. You may know her from her 2 beautiful books about St. Anne’s Park, featuring illustrations from local artists such as Maria Brooks, Aidan O’Reilly, Anna Brooks and Karen O’Farrell, as well as up-and-coming young artists too!

Her young artists will be at the exhibition at 11am tomorrow morning to sign their work if you would like to meet any of them or pick up your own signed copy of a book.

Last minute preparations are underway for the exhibition in St. Anne’s Park tomorrow. We will be in the Red Stables from 9am-6pm Sat and Sun.

Roseanne Mooney has been a member of the group for many years. She is a palette knife painter who works with oils and acrylics. She is well known for her vibrant palette.

Her work will be on display at the Red Stables in St. Anne’s Park, Clontarf, during the Rose Festival this weekend. Our exhibition is open on Sat 19th July and Sunday 20th July from 9am-6pm.

We are continuing to make preparations for our exhibition at the Rose Festival in the Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park, Clontarf on Sat 19th and Sun 20th July from 9am- 6pm.

Anna Brooks is one of the talented artists who will be displaying her work. She is known for her contemporary work in oils ranging from sumptuous desserts, to serene sunsets. We look forward to seeing some of her new work at this year’s exhibition and here is a little taster of it below…

We hope to see you all soon at the Rose Festival in St. Anne’s Park where we will be having our annual Vernon Art Group exhibition in the Red Stables Sat 19th to Sun 20th July 2025.

Today we would like to introduce Vicky Muckenschnabel, who was welcomed to the group for the first time last year. Vicky paints in oils and lives in Co. Meath. She turns her hand to many subjects but the themes of nature, animals and country life always recur. Featured here are “Still Life with Cherries” and “Mucky Wellies”. We are really excited to be back in the Red Stables for the weekend of the Rose Festival again in 2025. This year we will only be there for 2 days- Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th- so be sure to come in and visit us. Over the next few weeks we will be posting some sneak previews of some of our artists work. Ciara O’Rafferty is another of our artists exhibiting in the Red Stables, St Anne’s Park at the moment. She paints mainly in watercolour, and is a member of the Watercolour Society of Ireland. Portraits, Irish wildlife and landscapes are amongst her pieces currently being exhibited. The exhibition runs until Monday 22nd and is open from 9-5pm weekdays and 9-6pm at the weekend. Many thanks to friends old and new who have stopped by in the last 2 days and it is great to see that many paintings have found new homes already.

Renowned Dublin watercolourist Aidan O’Reilly will be exhibiting with the Vernon Art Group in the Red Stables, St. Anne’s Park, Clontarf during the Rose Festival. Here is some more fabulous art that will be on display at the Red Stables in St. Anne’s Park between the 16th and 22nd of July. This time the artist is Valerie Dennigan Aka Art by Val.

Val is a full-time established working Irish artist and has been creating work for over twenty years. Her studio is in Malahide beside Malahide Castle and the sea, where she gets much of her inspiration.
Experimenting with many different mediums and colours over the years has been her joy, and she creates pieces using oils, acrylics, inks and encaustic and pushes the boundaries by mixing mediums to create original work that is both unique and special.
She exhibits her work every Sunday on Merrion Sq, weather permitting, where she is happy to chat about her work
