The platform project is designed for youth groups and organisations that represent ethnic minority groups to be able to work together. The project is needed in Ireland in order to create a platform where policy in Ireland can be influenced through numbers as this is a democratic state, to give the growing young ethnic minority groups a platform to express themselves to bigger audiences through the

unity of youth focused minority groups coming together and to encourage youth leaders to work together (network) in order to achieve greater impact. The Platform also exists to educate, train and promote young talented individuals who may sometimes not get information and opportunities filtered to them due to social exclusion. It is important to create opportunities for young ethnic minority youths who will be the future leaders in Ireland. Their contribution matters too. Their talent is good for Ireland too and they can make a huge difference too.

Delighted that the minister is finally amending the rules for re-entry visas. Having raised it in the Seanad on two occasions I am glad to see that we are finally are getting somewhere and that from 13 May 2019 GNIB/IRP card holders will no longer need a re-entry visa. I want to thank Ammar Ali for continuing to bring this to my attention so that I could continue to raise it. 👍🏻👍🏻 finally a bit of respect for migrants who are working so hard in our country and making a huge contribution 👍🏻👍🏻💪💪 Fianna Fáil
