Take a look at some of the original costume drawings for The Dead 👗🎩

As we near the end of another hugely successful year of James Joyce’s The Dead, an immersive theatre experience adapted and directed by Louise Lowe, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible costumes designed for the production that bring the audience right back to the early 1900s. Each piece is a work of art and we are very grateful to the costume department, led by designer Joan O’Clery, for their exceptional work.

Costume Designer - Joan O’Clery
Costume Supervisor - Nicola Burke
Costume Maker - Denise Assas
Costume Tailor - Denis Darcy
Costume Assistant - Triin Kolmkant

The Dead at the Museum of Literature Ireland will finish its 11-week sold-out run on Sunday 1 February. If you missed it this year, the production will return for a third year from 20 November 2026 - 31 January 2027.

The Dead is a memorable evening of music, laughter and dance - ending in an epiphany like no other.
