🎶 Would you like to reignite your love for playing music with renowned musicians Rachael Masterson, Rachel Duffy and Susan Doyle?✨

🎻🪉 Making Music with The Sundew Trio: The Wicklow Teaching Residency runs from November 2026 to March 2027 and provides participants with free tuition on violin, harp and flute, access to instruments for the duration of the programme and opportunities to connect and learn with other budding musicians along the way.

✨Participants of Making Music in Limerick: The Music Network Teaching Residency recently wrapped up their journey with a wonderful group session, playing through the tunes they learned during their time together. 15 learners aged 60 and over spent the last 12 weeks returning to playing music, some after many years of not touching an instrument.

🪗The group received expert tuition from renowned musicians Derek Hickey (accordion), Tara Breen (fiddle) and Tommy Hayes (Bodhrán), access to instruments, and an opportunity to bond over their shared love of music, cups of tea and great conversations.🎻

🎶A huge thank you to our tutors and congratulations to all of the participants for their enthusiasm and all they learned during their time with us.

✨Who knows what exciting things the future will bring for these returning musicians!

🪉 Applications for this years Music Capital Scheme Award 4 are drawing to a close in just under week. The deadline to apply for this years award is Tuesday 29 September, 2026. Make sure you get your application in before the deadline, as late applications will not be accepted.

🎻 We are seeking advanced violinists, violists, cellists and harpists aged 18+ who are embarking on, or in the early stages of, a professional performance career, and who are Irish citizens or resident in the Republic of Ireland.
