We are delighted to welcome Jonathan White back to Bewley’s Café Theatre.

Born in Dublin and raised in New York, Jonathan has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning 50 years across stage, screen and radio. His many credits include ‘Father Ted’, ‘Bosco’, ‘Ripper Street’, ‘Veronica Guerin’, and most recently James Joyce’s ‘The Dead’ (ANU/Landmark/MoLI). A familiar voice to radio audiences, he has also appeared in over 200 radio plays and drama series.

We are delighted to welcome Helen Norton back to Bewley’s Café Theatre.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Helen has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in Ireland and the UK, including The Abbey Theatre, The Gate Theatre, the National Theatre in London, and Shakespeare’s Globe, as well as theatres across the country. Alongside her extensive stage work, she has enjoyed a distinguished career in television and film, most recently appearing in RTÉ’S ‘The Dry’.

We are delighted to welcome actor, writer and director Ross Gaynor back to Bewley’s Café Theatre.

A graduate of The Lir Academy and UCD, Ross has built an impressive career across stage and screen. Theatre audiences will recognise him from productions with the Gate Theatre, Rough Magic, Irish National Opera, Glassmask Theatre, and Once Off Productions.

On screen, Ross has appeared in Normal People, Valhalla, King Frankie, and numerous productions for RTÉ. As a writer and director, his acclaimed work has been staged at Theatre Upstairs, The Abbey Theatre, and Dublin Fringe Festival.

We are delighted to welcome Malcolm Adams back to Bewley’s Café Theatre.

Audiences may know Malcolm from acclaimed productions including ‘Harry’s Christmas’ at Bewley’s Café Theatre, ‘Stones In His Pockets’ in London’s West End at the Duke of York’s Theatre, and ‘Alone It Stands’ at the Duchess Theatre.

His extensive stage career has seen him perform at some of Ireland’s leading venues, including The Abbey, The Gate, Project Arts Centre, The Lyric Belfast, The Everyman Cork, Cork Opera House, and many more.

Bewley’s Café Theatre is delighted to introduce the cast of 'The Magic Glasses' by George Fitzmaurice.

Performed by Malcolm Adams, Ross Gaynor, Helen Norton and Jonathan White, this wild, witty and wonderfully imaginative Irish classic transports us to 1913 Kerry, where strange visions, faith healers and a family in crisis collide in a whirlwind of humour and mischief.

Join us from 22 June - 18 July for this rare revival of one of Fitzmaurice’s most magical plays.
