Our Luiza made her new book as a fundraiser project for Raheny Tidy Village Group. It’s a colouring book, beautifully illustrated by Meeraba Rana, a young local illustrator. A little bit educational about Raheny biodiversity, a little bit entertaining, it’s a lovely new local project.

Available with other Luiza’s publications at our next market on 18th June. All proceeds go to Raheny Tidy Village.

Guess where you can find young sunflowers to grow further for the competition? :)

Correct, at our next market on 18th June.

Next market will also host a crochet for beginners workshop with Marfa Doyle.

PS pictured are Emma with Michael, our regular market customer & her first customer at Raheny Country Market and Tony Lawlor, Irish Country Markets Chairperson.

Yesterday John Maher, a herbalist working with St. Anne’s Physic Garden, gave a talk for market visitors on the power of local plants. We were making notes - your simple dandelions, hawthorns, elderflowers, cleavers, sage, red clover, nettles, catnip, valerian, rosemary - are full of wonders!

Follow the guys in St. Anne's Physic Garden for their other talks and events!

Market day is tomorrow Thursday 4th June! And we’re getting fresh photos from our members’ kitchens. Nice to see it all fresh (and still hot), and without the packaging - isn’t it?

So, some of tomorrow’s treats:

A traditional tea brack
Gingercake as requested by some regular customers
Mixed summer berries muffins
Energy oat bars with cranberries, raisins & almonds.
Savoury Cheddar Cheese Scones
Buttermilk Sultana scones
Gluten free almond biscuits
Gluten free apple sponge cakes

We also made some Exam cocoa bites especially for those sitting Leaving & Junior Cert exams

See you all tomorrow!

Our sign is up and our next market is this Thursday 4th June!

We will have a talk on the Power of Native Plants by John Maher, our usual produce and probably - again - some mad amount of plants.
