Did you ever hear about Mudlarking?
If you've ever been to London, I'm sure you saw people searching for something in Thames, I did many times.
No, it's not about the cute stones...
In London there is more than 50 Thames mudlarkers, who have obtained a special permit from the Port of London Authority to carry out explorations of the Thames foreshore.
Every day, they find Roman coins, Elizabethan dress-pins, medieval pottery, WWII munitions, and modern-day artefacts.
The archeological objects are worth thousands of pounds, some are unique, exclusive collectible objects worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
First they try to sell the items to the museum, if the museum isn't interested, they sell it private or keep it for their own collections.
