Today, we stood outside the Turkish Embassy in Dublin in solidarity with LGBTQ+ activists and community members in Turkey facing repression, detention, and imprisonment.

This is about more than LGBTQ+ rights. It is about the freedom to organise, the freedom to speak, and the right of independent civil society to exist.

We joined , , @ ilgaeurope, and activists and allies from across Europe and Central Asia to call for an end to the targeting and criminalisation of LGBTQ+ people and human-rights defenders, the release of those detained for defending fundamental freedoms, and concrete action from Ireland and the European Union.

Human rights work is not a crime. LGBTQ+ people are not a threat.

The Outhouse Book Club is back this November with a spooky q***r classic! 📚👻 Our next pick is the award-winning horror novella 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 by T. Kingfisher.

When Alex Easton, a former soldier, receives word that their old friend Madeline Usher is gravely ill, they travel to the remote family home in Ruravia. But the Usher mansion is full of fungal rot, strange creatures, and secrets, and Madeline and her brother Roderick are not quite the people Alex remembers.

A q***r retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳, this creepy, atmospheric novella brings a fresh dimension to a classic gothic tale. At around 170 pages, it’s also a perfect spooky-season read.

📅 Wednesday, 11 November
⏰ 6:30pm - 8:30pm
🎟️ Free entry, but spaces are limited!
