Acting Out

Acting Out Dublin’s LGBTQ+ theatre group based at Outhouse on Capel St. Dublin, Ireland. There are two strands to what we do.

Acting Out has a mission to present the stories of LGBTQ+ people living in Ireland on stage and occasionally on digital media too. One is providing performance workshops for the LGBT community in Dublin and the surrounding area, which are held at the Outhouse on Capel Street. The second strand is putting on professional productions produced by ourselves or in conjunction with arts organisations in

Ireland and abroad. We have twice been awarded the a National GALA Award and the Hilton Edwards Award and been nominated for Best New Play in Manchester, Brighton and Prague Fringe Festivals.
