Fingal Youth Orchestra We're an orchestra on the rise and have great fun. Our music focuses on differing challenges – be it complex rhythm, styling or balance.

Welcome to the page for Fingal Youth Orchestra - an orchestra aimed at providing a group outlet for young musicians in the Fingal area of Dublin and beyond.. Our four staff (2 conductors and 2 tutors) are great and we have loads of laughs ;)We play a range of styles and pieces - varying from Bach to the Beatles. Those in the Senior Orchestra are particularly accustomed to analogies: 'Cake

' ;)We all can have great laughs and still enjoy the making of music. (:Some of us are like family, but we're definitely open to adopting some newer members. New members are very welcome, especially lower strings/percussion/brass.Trips are when the fun intensifies; they’re great gas. It’s when you really get to know the people behind the instruments. :D

Lovely to be invited to the Sfx Christmas Fair, we couldn't fit all the orchestra but the kids sounded great and will be wonderful to hear the whole orchestra perform on the 8th for our lovely fyo Christmas concert!

Lovely to meet some lovely new children and parents this morning at our auditions. There was some initial nervous faces but great big smiles after auditions so well done. We are very excited to see you all for our first rehearsal next week, emails will be sent out guys with calendar, new music and details to all members..... contact us if anyone else wants to audition to [email protected] we would love to hear from you.....

On the 25th Feb we held our first Playathon, our wonderful children and some amazing talented parents made this all possible. The youth orchestra played for 12hrs continously. We have such fabulous musicians that we were honoured to fill the hall of St Francis Xavier Senior School full of music..... we want to thank our brilliant conductors Karen and Maia aswell as our lovely FYO committee for all their work in making this possible.....
This was an amazing fundraiser and we appreciate all your help, support and generous donations from friends and family..... it was a great day!!
