Sunday 8th November is a new venue in county Laois, Happy Human, Wolfhill, R14RT92. We are in the south eastern part of Laois about 16Km from Athy , Abbeyleix is about 16km away from it too.

Arriving from 2.15pm we aim to start at 2.30pm.
This will be a gentle introduction to conscious dance .
No dance experience required just an openness to trying something new for those of you who might be curious to come to a sober dance. I give some guidance at the start and Catriona will do a warm up at the start to help us connect to our bodies.

Conscious dance is a form of movement practice that combines physical expression with mindfulness and awareness it isn't about performing set choreography or perfecting techniques instead it focuses on allowing individuals to move freely and express themselves in ways that feel authentic in the moment like a movement meditation.

No experience required you can come with friends or alone and we will warmly welcome you with hawthorn tea.

Saturday 1st August from 7pm to 10pm celebrate the coming of Lúnasa through guided embodiment practices and free flow conscious dance in Dublin mountains.

Price is €35/€30 children go free.

Lúnasa represents the beginning of the harvest season the transition and gratitude for the earth's bounty. It is named after Laugh (Lú) a figure in Irish mythology known as a skilled warrior and master of many arts. People would share the first fruits of the land. It is a festival of gratitude, community, skill, abundance, and also sacrifice- the grain is cut so that life can continue. It reminds us that every new beginning requires letting something go.

We are quite high up so bring warm layers and water and fruits to mark the occasion and a yoga mat or blanket if you prefer not to be lying on the grass. I will offer Hawthorn tea and we can have a short ceremony with this around the theme of Lúnasa.

Angharad of Angharad Costin will bring her skill set of embodiment practices to guide us gently into the dance .

Next indoor dance in Rathmines is a fundraiser for the Dublin R**e Crisis Centre is a national organisation offering a wide range of services to any person affected by r**e, sexual assault, sexual harassment or childhood sexual abuse including a national 24 hour helpline 1 800 77 8888 and webchat support and other services.

I will do some meditation practices and give some guidance at the start to assist people in being with their body while dancing. This is a sober space and there will be teas and snacks . All are welcome and all monies will go to Dublin R**e Crisis Centre website is drcc.ie

The music covers ethnotronika folktronika afro house quirky french electronic psy trance tribal and sacred and heart felt music and more.
