Deadline approaching! 🚨

Would you like to join the Gate Theatre team as our Company Stage Manager? You would be at the heart of every production — supporting artists, leading teams and playing a key role in bringing exceptional theatre to life. If this appeals to you, we would love to get your application.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Company Stage Manager is the central point of contact for all creative and stage management personnel working with The Gate. They are the conduit between the on-stage/rehearsal company and the organisation.

The postholder will lead and support stage management teams across productions, ensuring rehearsals and performances run safely, efficiently and to the highest artistic standards. The role also plays a key part in supporting company wellbeing, maintaining strong communication across departments, and upholding the Gate’s policies and practices in relation to Health & Safety, Dignity at Work and Child Safeguarding.

⚡️ GATEWAYS: Community Engagement at the Gate Theatre

🎭
Our GATEWAYS Youth Theatre presented their first full scale production of THE GAFF, a piece originally devised by Complex Youth Theatre. The show played to three sold out houses over two days and was superbly received by our audiences!

The cast were also treated to a visit from two of the original writers Anthony "Boo" Goulding and Killian Kirwan who sat down with the cast to reflect on their experiences of creating the piece. 📷 Group photo at the end!

At the Gate Theatre, we aim to cultivate an environment where a broader range of communities can call this space their own. We want people to feel empowered by their engagement with us and we aim to foster and continually develop strong and innovative partnerships with community, arts, education, and other organisations locally and nationally.

GATEWAYS is the result of a consultation process involving the Gate Theatre, community groups, schools, both local and across the country, and local community leaders.

Since the beginning of 2023, the Gate has invited groups into the theatre for tours and workshops and asked how it can partner and enhance their lives.
